    • This course consists of 3 articles on fitness and 3 practical exercises with video demonstrations. To get started with dog fitness, you first need to familiarize yourself with the basic rules and principles—what we do, how we do it, and why. After the theoretical introduction, we move on to basic (introductory) exercises, familiarizing the dog with the equipment and helping it begin to develop body awareness. These are physically easy exercises that dogs of any age can do. For this course, you will need two platforms of the same height, several platforms of different sizes, and narrower targets for the feet.

      How to Start Exercising
Before you start fitness training, you need to make sure your dog doesn’t have any health issues that might limit their ability to perform certain exercises. So, start with a visit to the vet, and once you have the vet’s approval, you can begin your fitness journey. If your dog has musculoskeletal issues, that doesn’t mean they can’t do the exercises. It just means your pet needs a personalized program designed by a canine physical therapist or rehabilitation specialist. General programs are designed for healthy dogs. The next step is to familiarize yourself with the basic principles of fitness so that you understand what you’re doing and why.

      Leg Target
In fitness training, a dog must learn to climb onto various platforms—sometimes using its front legs, sometimes its hind legs, and sometimes all four legs. This is not just a part of other, more complex exercises. It’s an exercise for developing body awareness and coordination. In this course, you’ll learn how to explain this to your dog and how to teach him to climb onto platforms.
